Linking sustainability and tourism as a new development strategy for the Guianas

Ambassador Henry MacDonald will give give a presentation on how to link sustainability with tourism as a new development strategy for the Guianas (Suriname, Guyana and French Guiana).  This presentation was delivered at the United Nations in New York in May 2017 and now the Prinsenkwartier will release it to the travel, tourism and art community in Europe.

Henry MacDonald, a career diplomat, is a trained lawyer and holds several degrees from universities in Suriname, Belgium, the United States and the Netherlands. He has represented Suriname at the OAS, UNASUR, OIC and other multilateral bodies. While serving as Suriname’s ambassador to the UN in New York, Macdonald was also chairperson of the CARICOM Caucus of Ambassadors to the United Nations. He was a vice president of the 65th General Assembly and also the chairperson of the UN Third Committee, the Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee for the 67th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. Macdonald is the former ambassador of Suriname twice acrredited to the UN.

As a result of travel restrictions due to covid-19 it is impossible for MacDonald to attend the lecture live. Instead a pre-recorded lexture will be shown. After the lecture Mister MacDonald will answer questions throught a live video feed with his place of residence.

Since it is now clear that Mister MacDonald cannot attend to the lecture in person tickets price has been reduced to 5 euro. Trough Eventbright tickets can be obtained.
